Michael Irvin has left the NFL Network

Michael Irvin Leaves NFL Network Amidst Uncertainty over Super Bowl Hotel Incident and Contract Disputes

In 2023, there was uncertainty surrounding Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin’s status at NFL Network during the offseason. However, this year it has been made clear that Irvin is no longer with the network, as reported by Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post. The league has confirmed this news, according to Andrew Marchand of TheAthletic.com.

The decision for Irvin to leave NFL Network comes after an incident in 2023 where he was sent home from the Super Bowl due to a complaint from an employee of a Marriott hotel. Irvin later sued the hotel, but not the league. It was believed that the league wanted the case to be resolved before considering bringing Irvin back.

After settling the case, Irvin returned to NFLN. However, his contract, which had one year remaining as of September, has now ended and the league has decided to end their relationship with Irvin. Irvin also works for FS1 and has previously worked for ESPN.
