Health inspectors close Orange County restaurants (April 25-May 2) – Orange County Register

Restaurant and Food Vendor Closures in Orange County: A Weekly Update from the OC Health Care Agency

During the week of April 25 to May 2, several restaurants and food vendors in Orange County were ordered to close by health inspectors. The Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club’s kitchen in Newport Beach was closed on May 1 due to a cockroach infestation but was able to reopen on May 2. Texas Pit Bar-B-Que in Lake Forest was closed on April 30 with no reason provided. San Clemente Sushi Co. in San Clemente was also closed on April 30 due to a rodent infestation but was able to reopen on May 1.

On April 29, Zankou Chicken in Anaheim was closed due to a cockroach infestation but reopened on April 30. Orange County Pizza in Rancho Santa Margarita was closed due to insufficient hot water but reopened the same day. Golden Rose Mediterranean Cuisine in Buena Park was also closed on April 29 due to a rodent infestation but reopened on the same day as well.

CTB Eatery in Garden Grove and John’s Incredible Pizza Co. in Buena Park were both closed on April 25 due to rodent infestations, while Royal Wok in Orange and Cho Tam Bien in Garden Grove were also closed for various reasons such as cockroach and rodent infestations, respectively. All of these restaurants were able to reopen soon after their closures.

The OC Health Care Agency database is updated weekly with closures that occurred since the previous week’s list, providing consumers with important information about which establishments may not be safe for dining at present time.
