Sheridan Media: Birds in Motion

Unplug and Discover: A Nature-Inspired Adventure with Science Kids and SCLT”.

Unplug with Discovery Sessions: Birds on the Move, presented by Science Kids Assistant Director Molly Kinsey and Sheridan Community Land Trust Director of Marketing and Development Chris Vrba, is an invitation for the public to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature.

Kinsey, a retired elementary school teacher who now leads Science Kids, shared during a recent appearance on Public Pulse that the organization’s mission is to get children outside and explore the world around them. Whether it’s learning about minerals in the earth or birds in the sky, Science Kids brings in experts to inspire children’s curiosity and imagination.

In collaboration with SCLT, Science Kids will be hosting Unplug with Discovery Sessions: Birds on the Move, featuring Dr. Julie Rieder. This program will educate attendees about local birds and provide beginner birding skills to help distinguish different species.

Springtime is a perfect season to observe birds in their vibrant breeding plumage. Kinsey encourages everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about birds and build confidence in bird identification. Vrba suggests that attendees dress appropriately for the weather and reminds the public that Science Kids and Unplug Discovery Sessions are not just for children, but also for those young at heart with a curiosity about the world around them.
