Ukraine Urges Congress for New Military Aid in Fight Against Russian Aggression

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken are urging Congress to pass a new military aid package for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. Kuleba emphasized the urgent need for Congress to provide additional support, stressing that it is critical in helping Ukraine defend itself effectively against Russian attacks.

Blinken also highlighted the importance of providing Ukraine with the necessary resources to resist Russian aggression, stating that it is in the best interests of the United States to ensure that Ukraine has the means to defend itself against Putin’s invasion. He pointed out that if Putin is allowed to proceed with impunity, he may not stop at Ukraine and could target other countries in the region as well.

The G7 foreign ministers will meet on Saturday on the island of Capri to discuss support for Ukraine. The meeting will focus on ways to counter Russia’s aggression and provide aid to Ukraine. The US House of Representatives is planning to vote on a new military aid package for Ukraine, including $61 billion in support, on Saturday as well.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the need for international assistance remain a top priority for both Ukrainian and US officials, who recognize that Russia’s actions have grave consequences not only for Ukraine but also for global security as a whole.
