Sports Spectacular: NBC 7.1 and ABC 7.2 Set to Broadcast Premier Sports Events this Weekend
This weekend, viewers can catch a variety of sports programming on WDAM 7, including the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. The programming will be broadcast on NBC 7.1 on Saturday, May 4, and on ABC 7.2 on Sunday, May 5.
On Saturday, NBC 7.1 will start off with soccer programming in the morning, featuring the Premier League Goal Zone and a match between Manchester City and Wolverhampton. After that, the channel will switch to coverage of the Kentucky Derby in the afternoon. On Sunday, NBC 7.1 will air sports specials such as the Laurens Sports Awards and coverage of the Supercross event in Denver.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, ABC 7.2 will showcase a United Football League game between the Birmingham Stallions and Memphis Showboats in the morning, followed by a SportsCenter Special on National Football League Draft Grades in the afternoon. In the evening, viewers can tune into Real South Hunting or watch Stanley Cup Playoffs (if necessary), or catch Outdoor America featuring Sail Kings and Goliath Fishing.
On Sunday, ABC 7.2 will feature coverage of Formula 1 races in the afternoon and Google Pixel National Basketball Association Playoffs in the morning before switching to live from an NBA playoff game at approximately noon Eastern Time (9 pm Central Time).
