PHS boys finish as runners-up at Dick Dei Tournament | Latest News, Sports, Employment opportunities

At the Dick Dei Track Classic in Wheeling, Parkersburg’s Jack Mills won the 3200 race with a time of 9:38.78, leading his team to a runner-up finish. His teammate, Connor George, also had a strong performance, finishing in third place with a time of 9:55.42. Another standout athlete was Magnolia’s Landen Davis, who secured second place in the race with a time of 9:52.83. The Big Red boys team managed to earn points in several other events, including a two-three finish in the 400 meters by Landen Deuley and Jackson Wharton.

In addition to their success in the 400 meters, the Parkersburg boys team had a victorious performance in the 4×4 relay, with a winning time of 3:31.96. They also had a strong showing in the 4×2 relay, finishing as runners-up with a time of 1:32.12. Other notable performances came from Jake Bauman, who placed third in the shot put, and Jack Mills, who finished fourth in the 800 meters.

Overall, the Parkersburg boys team showed a lot of depth and talent at the Dick Dei Track Classic, setting them up for future success in upcoming competitions. Next, they will be competing at the Russ Parsons Invitational at Stadium Field.
