Ole Miss Softball Defeats Southern Miss in Exciting 7-3 Win with Home Runs from DeLeon and Brady

Ole Miss softball team emerged victorious over in-state rival Southern Miss with a thrilling 7-3 win. The game was full of excitement, as Angelina DeLeon and Lexie Brady hit home runs to lead the Rebels.

In the opening inning, Southern Miss took the lead with a run, but Ole Miss responded with three runs in the bottom half. Jalia Lassiter and Jaden Pone set the table for the Rebels with their contributions, and Brady’s home run was what sealed it for them. Despite Southern Miss tying the game in the second inning, Grace Sparks settled in and retired 10 out of 12 batters she faced.

The fourth inning saw a rally from the bottom of the order for Ole Miss, with DeLeon and Ryan Starr getting on base before Lassiter delivered a two-run single to put them back in front. DeLeon then extended the lead with a two-run home run in the sixth inning to secure victory for Ole Miss.
