Dallas Small Business Center Launches Inaugural Mentor Protégé Program
The City of Dallas Small Business Center is thrilled to announce the launch of its inaugural 2024 Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) on May 2, 2024. The program aims to help foster the growth of local Minority and Women-Owned Businesses (M/WBE) by creating partnerships and increasing the overall success of small businesses in Dallas, TX.
The MPP offers one-on-one mentoring relationships, workshops, training sessions, and opportunities for networking. It is designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of small businesses in Dallas. By providing this support, the program aims to help these businesses grow their financial capacity and secure contracting opportunities.
The key features of the City of Dallas Small Business Center’s Mentor Protégé Program include pairing financial stable Prime Contractors with secured contracts in the City of Dallas or other municipalities with emerging M/WBE certified small business owners seeking training and knowledge to grow their financial capacity. This pairing allows for a seamless transfer of knowledge and expertise from seasoned businesses to smaller enterprises.
Eligible businesses can apply for the next cohort of the program at the Small Business Mentor Protégé Program – Source Dallas. The goal of the program is to facilitate collaboration between seasoned businesses (mentors) and smaller enterprises (protégés) to help them excel as prime contractors or subcontractors in various contracting opportunities. Together, let’s build a stronger future for our community through the support of small businesses.
