Innovative Graduation Projects Promote Relaxation and Mindfulness through Breathing Robot and Heated Carpet
During their graduation projects, students developed two unique products that promote relaxation and mindfulness. The first product is a breathing robot that helps individuals focus on conscious breathing and slow down their breathing rate. Made up of two parts connected by a motor, the robot rises and falls according to a breathing pattern. Research has shown that when someone in front of us breathes at a certain rate, it can help us synchronize our breathing and relax.
The second project is a heated carpet for conscious walking. The carpet has heating points that impact the feeling when walking. By combining the simple daily action of walking with the calming and peaceful effects of heat, users are encouraged to engage in a mindful walk, also known as mindful walking.
These projects were part of the students’ specialization in UX/UI studies during their degree. This specialization includes design, management, product characterization, user experience research, and advanced technologies. By focusing on these areas, students are able to create innovative and practical products that aim to enhance users’ well-being and quality of life.
