Rodrigo Rato’s trial has reached its final verdict, with the Public Ministry maintaining its request for 63 years in prison for 11 tax crimes, money laundering, and corruption in business. The prosecutor highlighted Rato’s controlling character and his attempts to manipulate the legal proceedings, as well as his efforts to obscure his actions and hide wealth abroad from the Spanish Public Treasury.
