Hyundai Motor Group: A World Car Award Titans with Kia EV9, Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and Hyundai IONIQ 6

Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) has once again demonstrated its success at the World Car Awards, with the Kia EV9 being named the 2024 World Car of the Year at the New York International Auto Show. In addition, the EV9 also won the title of 2024 World Electric Vehicle, while the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N was awarded the 2024 World Performance Car. These victories highlight the Group’s global leadership in electric vehicles and the technological excellence of its Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

The Kia EV9’s success can be attributed to its innovative design, spacious seven-seat interior, and competitive price point. Built on the E-GMP architecture, this model is a first for Kia as it features fourth-generation battery technology for enhanced performance.

These recent wins continue Hyundai Motor Group’s streak of success at the World Car Awards. In previous years, models such as IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 each took home triple titles in categories such as World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle, and World Car Design of
