Exploring the Economy: Artesia High School Seniors Discover Local Businesses through Economic Scavenger Hunt

Artesia High School seniors recently participated in the Sixth Annual Economic Scavenger Hunt, an event organized by their economics teachers. The day-long activity took place at The Derrick Floor and saw students exploring the downtown district to learn about local businesses that drive the economy.

During the hunt, seniors Ryan Thomas, Mia Aragon, Kaylah Madrid, and Zoey Kiser took a break to pose for a photo outside the Daily Press. Not only did this provide a fun break from the scavenger hunt but also allowed them to capture memories of the event. Both photos were taken by Daily Press photographers Brienne Green and Latisha Romine, showcasing the excitement and engagement of the students throughout the day.

The economic scavenger hunt at Artesia High School is a valuable experience that combines education with real-world exploration. It prepares students for future endeavors in the workforce by familiarizing them with the impact of various industries and helping them discover potential interests for their future careers.
