Dodgers’ Impressive Homestand: Winning Streak Extended to Six Games with Hernandez’s Two-Run Home Run.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have just completed an impressive homestand, winning their sixth straight game and defeating the Miami Marlins 3-1. The Dodgers’ starting pitchers have been in top form during this homestand, posting a remarkable 2.33 ERA with 31 strikeouts and only four walks in their last five games.
In the sixth inning, Teoscar Hernández hit a two-run home run to help secure the victory for the Dodgers. Freddie Freeman had started the scoring by hitting a double off the wall in right field before Hernández’s decisive home run.
The game lasted only 1 hour and 55 minutes, with Hernandez accounting for all three of Los Angeles’ runs. Bryan De La Cruz hit a solo home run for the Marlins’ only run of the game in the fourth inning. Unfortunately, the Marlins have struggled on their recent road trip, losing five of their last six games.
Gavin Stone pitched a solid seven innings for the Dodgers, allowing only one run on six hits with four strikeouts. The Dodgers have been impressive during their homestand, and they will now head to San Diego for a three-game series starting on Friday. RHP Tyler Glasnow will start for the Dodgers in San Diego.
