Discovering STEM through Pizza and Paws: A Look at Williams Elementary School’s Annual Science and Math Night

Hundreds of students and their families gathered at Williams Elementary School in Jonesville on April 25 for the annual Science and Math night. The event, which took place in the school’s cafeteria, featured a variety of STEM activities for attendees to engage in while enjoying pizza.

One of the highlights of the night was Camp Michindoh, which provided hands-on experiences with different species of animals. The Jonesville Middle and High School robotics teams also made an appearance, showcasing their robots and coding skills to elementary-age students. This gave attendees a firsthand look at robotic coding and how it translates into action.

The Science and Math night served as an opportunity for families to come together in an educational setting outside of the usual classroom environment. Over the years, thousands of Jonesville students have enjoyed this event, which continues to be a popular tradition for the school.
