Faculty and Staff Awards Ceremony Honors Awardees at College of Public Health

College of Public Health Honors 20 Outstanding Faculty and Staff Members at Annual Awards Ceremony

The College of Public Health recently recognized and celebrated the achievements of 20 faculty and staff members during the 2024 Faculty and Staff Awards Ceremony on April 19. These individuals were honored for their excellence in teaching, research, leadership, and their dedication to advancing the institution’s mission and values.

Dean Melissa Perry opened the ceremony by commending all faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication. She highlighted how their accomplishments have led to improvements in the College’s programs, as evidenced by recent rankings in U.S. News & World Report. Executive Director of Finance and Administration Lisa Joyner and Associate Dean for Faculty and Staff Affairs Cathy Tompkins presented the awards, congratulating each winner individually on their achievements.

Nominees were selected by colleagues who submitted nominations to department chairs, who then made official nominations. An ad hoc committee comprised of previous award winners determined the recipients of the awards. A complete list of award winners can be found on the CPH Faculty and Staff Award page. Congratulations to all faculty and staff award recipients for their well-deserved recognition!
