Virginia Tech News: Pamplin College of Business Recognizes Students of Distinction from the Class of 2024

Celebrating Diversity, Inclusion, and Academic Excellence: Pamplin College of Business Achievements 2024

Pamplin College of Business celebrates a range of achievements and contributions made by its students, faculty, and staff. The DEIB Excellence Award is given to individuals whose contributions and services are assessed to be significant in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within Pamplin. This year, the Diversity Excellence Award was presented to Management student Meena Zaheen, with an honorable mention for Andrea Amihere, also from the Management program.

The Deans Advisory Board of Students (DABS) is a Pamplin organization where a group of 20-25 students are selected to work with Dean Saonee Sarker to advise and represent the student body. In recognition of their leadership and dedication, Hudson Aikins from Management and Mariam Farzayee from Accounting and Information Systems were awarded the 2024 DABS President Recognition.

Pamplin’s First Honors Graduates program recognizes students who have achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout their time at Virginia Tech. In 2024, Pamplin had nine students who received this honor, including Rahul Bhatt (Management), Jonathan Braun (Finance and Real Estate), Anne Deegan (BIT and Management), Charli Dietz (ACIS), Alexandra Evan (BIT and Management), Rhea Nair (Management), Logan Rawlings (Finance), Dylan Recardo (Finance), and Samiksha Sarda (Management).
