Celebrating 25 Years of the Office for Science and Society

25th Anniversary Celebration: A Fascinating Discussion on the Evolution of Science Communication with Dr. Joe Schwarcz and Josh Freed

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Montreal Gazette’s Josh Freed will have a captivating discussion with Dr. Joe Schwarcz, Director of the McGill OSS, on the history and achievements of the Office for Science and Society over the past 25 years. The event will feature intriguing conversations on the challenges and triumphs faced by the Office, as well as entertaining demonstrations to showcase its unique approach to science communication.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 PM, followed by the main event at 7 PM. The event will take place at the Otto Maass Chemistry Building at McGill University, located at 801 Sherbrooke Street, at the corner of Sherbrooke and University.

It is important to note that this event will only be held in person and there will be no virtual option available. However, it will be recorded and made accessible for viewing after the live event.
