Athlete of the Week nominations showcase stars from across spring sports

Great Falls Tribune’s Athlete of the Week Poll Returns as Spring Sports Heating Up: Meet the Nominees for this Week

As we near the postseason competition in spring sports, the Great Falls Tribune’s Athlete of the Week poll is back. Last week, two standout athletes from Great Falls High were recognized as winners – Katie Slade in track and Chad Wyman in tennis.

Each week, nominations for Athlete of the Week are open to athletic directors, coaches, parents, and fans for competitors in all sports across northcentral Montana. Submissions can be sent to sports reporter Grady Higgins at ghiggins@greatfallstribune.com. The poll will remain open until Friday at 11:59 p.m., and the winners will be announced in the following week’s Athlete of the Week feature.

This week’s nominees for the girls include Harley Brown of CMR softball who finished with five RBIs and earned a win as the starting pitcher; and Addi Kynett of Great Falls High track who set a personal record in the triple jump.

For the boys, nominees are Tristan Watson of Great Falls High track who won the high jump at the crosstown meet; and Josh Stimac of CMR tennis who helped lead his team to victory in a dual match.
