CHICO — Tickets for the 48th annual Chico Sports Hall of Fame Banquet will go on sale starting Monday, April ten.
The banquet will be held Tuesday, Could 9 at the Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Ave. Tickets price $60 every single and involve dinner.
Tickets will be for sale at the Chico Enterprise-Record workplace, 400 E. Park Ave., from three-five p.m. Monday by way of Friday. Tickets will be readily available at the west side entrance, closest to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Only money or checks will be accepted.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees are Jill Silva (Butte College women’s basketball), Bob Russ (Chico soccer pioneer), Ron Souza (Chico State baseball/football star drafted by the New York Mets) and David Small (longtime sportswriter and newspaper editor in Chico).
Senior athletes from location higher schools will be honored. Chico State senior athletes and sophomore athletes of the year from Butte College will be honored as nicely. Honored athletes will be admitted for no cost.
The announcement of the Chico Sportsperson of the Year award will cap the night’s festivities.
The final date of ticket sales will be Wednesday, Could three. Tickets will not be readily available at the occasion. There will be no exceptions.
Doors open at six p.m. with a no-host bar readily available for adults, with dinner and the presentation of awards starting at 7 p.m.
