Decree Mandating 100 Euro Liability Published as of May 2 by CPF

The New Training Fee and Car License Access Restrictions: How Will They Impact You?

The government has published a decree that will require employees to pay a 100 euro fee for any training they undertake through their Personal Training Account (CPF), starting from May 2. This decision was made final with the publication of the implementing decree in the Official Journal on April 30.

The fixed price of 100 euros will apply to each training course taken through the CPF, with exceptions for individuals undertaking retraining actions and those who agree to contribute to the training costs with their employer. Job seekers are not required to pay the fee. The government has also announced that it will review the fixed price annually based on changes in consumer prices.

On the other hand, a decree restricting access to car and motorcycle licenses through the CPF has not yet been published. This measure follows an initial decision to allow financing for all types of licenses, but the government has now decided to limit access. From May 2, it will no longer be possible to finance a motorcycle license if you already have a car license or vice versa. The government cites cost savings as its rationale for this restriction, estimating over 200 million euros in potential savings.
