Terror Threat Forces ICC to Enhance Security Measures for T20 World Cup in the West Indies

Cricket West Indies has received a terror threat from Northern Pakistan, according to reports. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has responded by stating that it has plans in place to mitigate any risks identified with the upcoming marquee event. ICC stated, “We work closely with authorities in the host countries and cities, and continually monitor and evaluate the global landscape to ensure appropriate plans are in place to mitigate any risks identified to our event.”

The West Indies Cricket board also commented on the issue, stating that they have a comprehensive and robust security plan in place. They want to assure all stakeholders that the safety and security of everyone at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is their top priority.
