Sierra Vista students triumph at Science Olympiad

Sierra Vista Middle School Wins Southern California Science Olympiad Championships for Third Year in a Row

In April, students from Sierra Vista Middle School once again emerged victorious at the state Science Olympiad Championship Tournament. This achievement earned them the prestigious title of Southern California Science Olympiad Champions.

The competition was fierce, with teams from all over the state gathering to compete in various science, technology, and engineering events. Despite the intense competition, the Sierra Vista team managed to come out on top for a third year in a row.

In the high school division, teams from Northwood and University High Schools placed second and third, respectively. This shows just how strong the competition was for the Sierra Vista team.

The Sierra Vista team consists of 19 students who worked tirelessly to prepare for the tournament. Their hard work paid off as they will now move on to compete in the Science Olympiad National Tournament held this month at Michigan State University. This event will bring together some of the best teams from across the country and the Sierra Vista team is ready to represent California and defend their title.

This achievement by students of Sierra Vista Middle School is a testament to their dedication and commitment towards excelling in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
