Remembering Jennifer Leak: A Life of Talent and Triumph over Adversity
Jennifer Leak, a remarkable woman who was strong, lovely, and incredibly talented, passed away at the age of 76 on March 18 at her home in Jupiter, Florida. She had been battling progressive supranuclear palsy, a rare neurological disease, in her final years.
Jennifer Leak was born in Cardiff, Wales in 1947 and had a successful career in acting. She appeared in various soap operas and screen roles before transitioning to working as a sales agent for a real estate company in the mid-1980s.
Leak is best known for her role in the 1968 film “Yours, Mine and Ours” where she played Colleen, the daughter of Lucille Ball’s character. The movie portrayed a blended family of 18 children.
Her former husband, Tim Matheson shared a tribute to Leak on Facebook describing her as an incredible talent whose legacy will live on forever. He also extended his condolences to her husband James D’Auria whom she had been married to for 47 years.
Jennifer Leak is survived by her husband and brother.
