Business owners in Clark County report that fire incident is just one of many safety concerns they have been facing.

Power Struggles: Uncertainty and Frustration for Tropicana Strip Mall Business Owners

A fire in the electrical panel of a strip mall located off Tropicana and Pecos in Clark County forced seven businesses to temporarily close on Saturday afternoon. The affected businesses have been without power partially or entirely since then, causing uncertainty about when repairs will be completed. Clark County authorities have deemed the structures unsafe until the electrical issue is addressed.

Business owners Joey Scolaro of Lucino’s Pizza and Jonny Galvez of Familia Tattoo are among those affected by the closure. Scolaro had to discard a significant amount of food and products due to the lack of power, while Galvez and his wife have experienced disturbing incidents since opening their business, including security concerns and building issues. Despite raising these issues with Colliers Property Management, the shop owners feel that their concerns have not been adequately addressed.

Galvez and Scolaro are frustrated with the lack of response and action from the property management company. They express disappointment that their businesses, which they hoped would thrive, are now facing uncertainties due to recurring issues and lack of proper security measures. Efforts to improve security have been met with limited success, worsening the situation for the business owners.
