Arco, Italy Chosen as Host for Season’s Third and Final Paraclimbing World Cup

Paraclimbing World Cup Returns to Arco, Italy: Final Event of 2023 Season Promises Excitement and Record-Breaking Participation

In Arco, Italy, the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) and the Italian Federation (FASI) have announced that the third IFSC Paraclimbing World Cup will take place on 27 and 28 September. This event will mark the first competition to be held at the historic national training center of Team Italy since its renovation began last year and is expected to be completed this summer. Once complete, the venue will be able to host athletes and teams throughout the year, with indoor walls available for Boulder, Lead, and Speed disciplines.

The upcoming season of Paraclimbing will feature a series of World Cups in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA on 7 and 8 May, as well as Innsbruck, Austria on 24 and 25 June. The Paraclimbing World Cup Arco 2024 will serve as the final event of the season. Building on the success of 2023’s IFSC Paraclimbing World Championships in Bern, Switzerland, which attracted a record-breaking 202 athletes from 25 countries – the highest number of participants ever in a Paraclimbing event – this season promises to be another exciting one for fans of this dynamic sport.
