VA has expanded its pilot plan to connect Veterans in rural locations with info about VA telehealth and mental well being sources.

In partnership with various state departments of transportation, VA posted sources at rest locations across the states to supply traveling Veterans conveniently accessible info about telehealth selections, the closest VA place and the Veterans Crisis Line.

VA initiated the pilot in Montana due to the state’s size and rurality when functioning closely with the Montana Division of Transportation to supply the info at 47 rest locations across the state.

VA continued the plan in Wyoming, Kansas, Louisiana and Nevada. To date, VA has deployed sources to 157 rest locations and 89 welcome centers across Kansas, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada and Wyoming, covering far more than 52,000 miles of state and interstate highways.
