Osceola County Selects Site and Plans to Hire Architect for $7.1 Million Technology Library Concept

Orlando County Library Gets a $7.1 Million Technology Upgrade with Cutting-Edge Amenities

The Osceola County library is set to receive a $7.1 million technology upgrade with the construction of a new one-story, 8,000-square-foot building. The county has identified a location for the project, which is next to the Florida Department of Health at 1875 Fortune Road on 9.76 county-owned acres.

The library will feature cutting-edge technology amenities such as a dedicated 3D printer room, an artificial intelligence learning and coding room, virtual and augmented reality space, and a laser engraver. In addition, there will be an e-sports room and co-working space for businesses. Public computers will also be available for use.

The innovative project aims to provide residents with access to cutting-edge technology resources and tools in order to support education, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the community. The county has issued a request for proposals for an architect to bring this vision to life and create a space that benefits residents of all ages and interests.
