New Zealand and India Cricketers Set to Lead USA in T20 World Cup: A Closer Look at the Lineup

The USA cricket team has named Corey Anderson, Ali Khan, and Shayan Jahangir in its squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup. The tournament will be held in June and co-hosted by USA and the West Indies.

Anderson has represented New Zealand in ODI World Cup in 2015 and T20 World Cup in 2014 and 2016, while Khan has not played a T20I since July 2022. Both players have been included in the squad due to their experience and expertise.

The captain and vice-captain for the upcoming T20 World Cup are Monank Patel and Aaron Jones, respectively. Patel is a former Mumbai Indians player who led India A to victory in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, while Jones is a former New York Yankees player who led Trinidad & Tobago to victory in the 2019 Caribbean American Cricket Association (CACA) Twenty-Over Championship.

Milind Kumar, a former Delhi batsman who topped the run-scoring charts in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, has also earned a place in the USA squad. He made his international debut against Ireland in January 2017 and has played six ODIs for USA so far.
