Trine University has recently introduced a Bachelor of Science in environmental science degree program, which is set to commence in August. Leveraging its strengths in the sciences and engineering, this program aims to equip students with the necessary skills to tackle the environmental challenges faced by our planet.

The new program will be housed within Trine’s Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences and is designed to prepare students for careers in various related fields such as environment, law, health and safety, and public policy. According to Lexie Staten, the dean of the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences, the program focuses on improving the health of our planet and its inhabitants. She emphasizes the importance of training professionals to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to environmental issues.

Graduates of this degree program will be prepared for roles in governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, and private companies. They can pursue careers as environmental or conservation scientists, environmental educators, lawyers, environmental policy analysts, or environmental health and safety specialists. The program aligns with the anticipated job growth in the field by the Bureau of Labor Services over the next decade.

Trine University has a strong track record of offering programs that lead to successful employment outcomes for graduates.
