This win gave the Knicks a commanding 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The return of Brunson at halftime was a game-changer for the Knicks, as he led them back from a deficit with his impressive performance. The crowd at Madison Square Garden was electrified by Brunson’s return, and his efforts helped propel the team to victory.
While Brunson didn’t quite reach the milestone of becoming the second player in NBA history to score 40 or more points in five straight playoff games, his contribution was crucial to the Knicks’ success.
