Exciting News: Students will kick off mural painting for new Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown!

Local Artist Carla Majczan Brings Student Imagination to Life with Science Center Mural

Local artist Carla Majczan from Bethlehem has been chosen to lead a project that will result in a colorful mural at the new Da Vinci Science Center in downtown Allentown. The project, which begins Thursday morning, will cover a 120-foot long wall at the Science Center.

Carla Majczan, an art teacher in the Bethlehem Area School District, developed lesson plans for art and science that inspired students to create art and designs based on those plans. After sorting through boxes of student artwork and ideas, Carla finalized the mural design based on the children’s drawings.

The students from Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers will begin painting the mural at the Judith Chase Early Learning Center gym on Chew Street. The finished mural will be installed at the new Da Vinci Science Center in late May or early June. The Science Center is set to open on May 22nd, showcasing the colorful and imaginative artwork created by local students under the guidance of Carla Majczan.
