LeBron James and Steph Curry named to USA Basketball’s Olympics roster

NBA star Stephen Curry made a young fan’s day by signing his jersey after a game in Houston, Texas. The fan was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet Curry in person and get his jersey signed.

Curry is set to make his first Olympic appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, along with other NBA stars such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant. The roster for the USA Basketball men’s national team is being finalized, with players like Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, and Devin Booker also on the list.

The U.S. men’s team has been dominant at the Olympics, winning four consecutive gold medals since 2004. This success is attributed to the efforts of Jerry Colangelo and Mike Krzyzewski, who turned the program around and made it attractive for NBA players to participate in the Olympics.

With players like Curry, Durant, and James on the roster, the U.S. team is expected to be favorites for the gold in Paris. The team has a good mix of size, scoring ability, and defensive prowess, making it one of the strongest teams sent to the Olympics in recent years.

In group play, the U.S. team will face tough competition from Serbia, South Sudan, and the winner of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament from Puerto Rico. This tournament will feature teams like Mexico, Ivory Coast, Lithuania, Italy, and Bahrain fighting for a spot against the U.S. squad.
