Kiplimo and Cheptegei to Battle for World Cross Country Championship Glory in Belgrade: A Closer Look at the Top Contenders and Course Features.

Joshua Kiplimo, the reigning champion of the World Athletics Cross Country Championships, is set to defend his title once again at the upcoming World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The race will feature other top contenders such as Berihu Aregawi of Ethiopia and Sabastian Sawe of Kenya.

The course in Belgrade is flatter than previous World Cross editions, but Cheptegei has been in impressive form lately, clocking a fast time in Spain. He is considered one of the top contenders for a medal in Belgrade.

Cheptegei expressed his excitement for the upcoming race, aiming to win another senior individual medal. The race will take place at Friendship Park in Belgrade, featuring a loop and obstacles like arch bridges, a hay maze, and hurdles.

The women’s U20 race will begin at 11am (CET) on Saturday, with the senior men’s race following at 1:30pm. Viewers around the world can watch the event via the World Athletics YouTube channel or local broadcasters.
