Sports performance department in Jets undergoes multiple alterations

Jets Keep Key Staff Members but Make Changes to Boost Offensive Line Performance in 2024 Season

The Jets have made several changes to their sports performance and science staff for the 2024 season, but have retained coaches Robert Saleh and General Manager Joe Douglas. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, director of high performance Brad DeWeese has left the team, along with assistant director of high performance Robert Sausaman and director of sports science Matt Sams.

The departures were not due to performance issues, but rather a focus on improving the team’s offensive line performance. To address this issue, the team has acquired older tackles Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses.

Moving forward, keeping key players healthy and on the field will be crucial for the Jets in the upcoming season. The team remains focused on making positive developments to ensure a successful 2024 campaign.
