Israeli Military Conducts New Bombings on Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon amid Ongoing Clashes

On Tuesday, the Israeli Army conducted new bombings on several “terrorist infrastructures” belonging to the Shiite party-militia Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. These attacks are part of the ongoing clashes that began nearly seven months ago following attacks by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Israeli territory.

The Israeli Army confirmed the bombings in a brief statement on its website, stating that combat aircraft targeted Hezbollah terrorist infrastructures in Kafarkila and Al Khiam in southern Lebanon. Additionally, two anti-tank missiles were fired towards the north of the country, specifically in Merhav Dov, but they hit open spaces with no victims or damage reported. The IDF has retaliated against the sources of the missile launches.

Since October 8th, when Hamas launched attacks on Israeli territory resulting in nearly 1,200 deaths and around 240 people being kidnapped, according to Israeli authorities, there have been ongoing clashes between Israel and Hezbollah. Supported by Iran and holding significant political power in Lebanon, Hezbollah has been conducting attacks against Israel from its bases within southern Lebanon. The Israeli Army has responded with force to these attacks, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure and launching retaliatory strikes against militant positions. Despite these efforts, tensions remain high between Israel and Lebanon as both countries continue to engage in military action against one another.
