IBM has expanded its software portfolio to 92 countries through AWS Marketplace, which is a digital catalog of Amazon Web Services (AWS) that integrates software listings from independent vendors. This expansion will simplify purchasing and billing processes for customers beyond the countries where it was already available, such as Germany, France, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Additionally, customers will be able to use their committed AWS spending for IBM software acquisitions.
The expanded IBM portfolio on AWS Marketplace includes 44 listings and 29 software as a service (SaaS) offerings, including components of the watsonx platform like watsonx.data and watsonx.ai. Other services available for these countries include Dv2 Cloud Pak for Data, Apptio, Turbonomic, Instana, and IBM Security & Sustainability, all built on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS. IBM also plans to launch 15 new professional services and IBM Consulting assets on AWS Marketplace to align with customer needs and demand.
