SGMC Health presents Tomlin with prestigious BEE Award

Hospice Nurse Assistant Earns BEE Award for Exceptional Patient Care and Teamwork

Latrelle Tomlin, a Certified Nurse Assistant working at Hospice of South Georgia and Langdale Hospice House, has been recognized by SGMC Health with the April Being Extraordinary Every day (BEE) Award. Tomlin was honored for her positive attitude, teamwork, flexibility with new processes, and dedication to patient care. She has been part of the health system for over 4 years and is known for stepping up to cover weekend shifts when her coworkers need assistance.

Emily Hydrick, Nurse Manager at Hospice of South Georgia, praised Tomlin for her qualities and contributions to the organization. “Latrelle is an exceptional member of our team,” said Hydrick. “She embodies the spirit of teamwork and dedication to patient care that we value at SGMC Health.”

The BEE Award is a monthly recognition program that acknowledges staff members who support the role of a nurse, including patient care technicians, nursing assistants, and medical assistants. Nomination criteria include qualities such as compassion, teamwork, leadership, attitude, and skills and knowledge.
