Fortissimo Films Secures International Distribution Deal for Momo Pictures’ Latest Film ‘Wild Punch’

Fortissimo Films has announced that it will handle the international distribution of the latest film from Momo Pictures, a production company based in China. The movie, titled “Wild Punch,” is directed by Yu Lik-wai and Wang Jing and follows the story of a top mixed martial arts athlete facing competition from a younger trainee.

“Wild Punch” is produced by Momo Pictures, which is a subsidiary of the Zhiwen Group. This collaboration marks the first partnership between Momo Pictures and Fortissimo Films. The film’s release comes after Fortissimo Films acquired the international rights for Shen Jie’s animated film “The Umbrella Fairy.” In addition to “The Umbrella Fairy,” Fortissimo Films also represents other Chinese films such as Feng Xiaogang’s “If You Are the One 3” and Xu Haofeng’s “100 Yards.”

Fortissimo Films’ portfolio includes cutting-edge Chinese animation like “Deep Sea” by Tian Xiaopeng, showcasing a diverse range of films from Chinese filmmakers. With its acquisition of “Wild Punch” and other Chinese films, Fortissimo Films continues to expand its reach into the global market for Chinese cinema.
