Dhofar’s Dazzling Fall 2024: Oman’s Municipality Plans to Host One Million Visitors with Unforgettable Activities

In the Sultanate of Oman, the Municipality of Dhofar is gearing up for the Dhofar Fall 2024 activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. The previous year, Dhofar Fall 2023 saw an increase in visitors with 962 thousand visitors compared to 813 thousand visitors in 2022. This year, they are anticipating that the number of visitors will surpass one million.

Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al-Ghassani, Mayor of Dhofar, announced during a press conference at the Arabian Travel Market 2024 exhibition in Dubai that this year’s activities will begin early and will take place in existing and new sites to attract a larger number of tourists. The fall season will run from June 21 to September 20, lasting three months, twice as long as previous years.

One of the highlights of the activities will be the launch of the “Atin Square” website, offering various events including Omani and Arab artistic concerts at the Al Murooj Theater and other locations. Additionally, there will be a sports challenge field in the games area at Atin Square. The “Return of the Past” activities in the Al-Saada area will be updated to simulate local environments in Dhofar Governorate, incorporating new environments from other Sultanate of Oman governorates.

Moreover, live performances and arts that showcase Omani culture will be featured, along with the inaugural “Dhofar International Theater Festival” to encourage participation from authorities in the Sultanate of Oman.
