Croatia’s Divisive Monthly Prayers: A Battle of Beliefs and Convictions
On the first Saturday of every month, individuals gather in squares across Croatia to pray. This time, they congregated on Trg ban Jelačića, as well as in Šibenik and Trogir. Meanwhile, counter-protesters stood opposite them, beating drums and holding banners that read messages about a woman who was killed by those who believed in the sanctity of marriage.
The tension between the two groups was palpable as they stood firm in their beliefs. The scene in the squares of Croatia was filled with emotions and strong convictions as each group tried to make their voices heard. Despite the tensions, both sides remained determined to stand up for what they believed in.
Onlookers watched from a distance, unsure of how the situation would unfold. The echoes of the drums and chants filled the air, creating a sense of urgency and importance to the events taking place. In the end, both the supplicants and counter-protesters remained steadfast in their convictions, unwilling to back down in the face of opposition.
