Bucks player Thanasis Antetokounmpo to have surgery on torn Achilles tendon

Bucks Faced with Uncertainty: Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Brother Thanasis To Undergo Surgery for Injured Achilles Tendon

The Milwaukee Bucks have received bad news as Thanasis Antetokounmpo, the teammate of Giannis Antetokounmpo and his older brother, is set to undergo surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon. Despite playing in the Bucks’ final playoff game without injury, this unfortunate incident will prevent him from participating with the Greek national team this summer as they aim to secure an Olympic spot.

Thanos took on a bigger role for the Greek national team last summer when Giannis was not available. However, due to his injury, he is expected to miss most, if not all, of the upcoming NBA season as well. At 31 years old, Thanos has been a part of the Bucks for five years and played 34 games this season. He was known for signing one-year contracts with the team and it is likely that he would have continued this trend. But with the uncertainty surrounding his ability to play for a year, the Bucks face a dilemma.
