Brooks Koepka triumphs at LIV-Singapore ahead of PGA Championship title defense

Brooks Koepka Secures Fourth LIV Golf Title, Defending Major Championship in Louisville Next

Brooks Koepka emerged as the winner of the LIV Golf tournament in Singapore, shooting a 3-under 68 for a total of 15-under 198 over three rounds. He finished two strokes ahead of his Australian rivals Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith, who shot 66 and 64 respectively at the Sentosa Golf Club. Koepka had four birdies and a bogey on his way to securing his fourth LIV title.

Talor Gooch finished in fourth place with a score of 3-under 67, three strokes behind Koepka. Koepka, who also holds five major championships, including the PGA Championship in 2023, was pleased with his performance and is now gearing up to defend his title at the upcoming PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky starting May 16.

Despite his struggles, Koepka expressed satisfaction with his recent win, attributing it to his hard work both on and off the golf course. Jon Rahm, another LIV player who has yet to secure a win, finished six strokes behind Koepka and tied for 10th place. Rahm has consistently placed in the top 10 in all seven events of the 2024 season.

The team title was claimed by Ripper GC, led by Leishman and Smith, finishing at 32-under for the tournament. They were three strokes ahead of Fireballs GC and Cleeks GC. The next LIV tournament is scheduled for June 7-9 in Houston, Texas.
