YouTuber sets Guinness World Record for largest model aircraft carrier

British Engineer Breaks Guinness Records with Giant Remote-Controlled Aircraft Carrier Model and Successfully Lands Model Planes on It

James Whomsley, a British YouTube engineering channel host, recently broke two Guinness World Records for his remarkable engineering project. Firstly, he constructed the world’s largest remote-controlled aircraft carrier model in just three months. The aircraft carrier was made of wood, foam and fiberglass to ensure its durability and waterproofing. To achieve this, expanding foam was used in its construction.

After building the model aircraft carrier, Whomsley had to learn how to fly the remote-controlled planes and modify them to land safely on the carrier. He added first-person view cameras to the model aircraft to improve visibility during landings. The model planes used in the project were modified ready-to-fly models that he customized with his own unique modifications. Test flights and landings were conducted at Rudyard Lake in Straffordshire.

During testing, one of the model planes crashed into the water due to technical issues caused by modifications made during testing. However, Whomsley remained calm and continued his experiments until he successfully landed both model planes on the aircraft carrier without any further accidents or incidents. His achievements have been documented in several YouTube videos that showcase his incredible skills and creativity as an engineer.
