Gareth Farr’s A Child of Science, which delves into the creation of IVF treatment, will make its world premiere at Bristol Old Vic. Tom Felton has been cast in the lead role. The show will begin performances on June 5 and feature a cast including Jamie Glover, Meg Bellamy, Adelle Leonce, Sonoya Mizuno, and Sheena Steptoe.
Directed by Matthew Dunster, the production is close to both him and Farr who have personal connections to IVF as parents. The set design will be by Anna Fleischle, costumes by Angelica Rush, lighting by Sally Ferguson, sound by Holly Khan, music by Genevieve Dawson, video design by Gino Ricardo Green, and hair and make-up by Zoë Louise Gale. The casting is done by Matilda James.
