Bartlesville Slow Pitch Softball: State Tournament Ready, But Facing Tough Opponent in First Round

The Bartlesville slow pitch softball team is just hours away from competing in the 6A State Tournament on Tuesday morning. They will be facing Choctaw in the first round of the eight-team single-elimination tournament. Two Bartlesville seniors, Allie Scullawl and Chelsea Goddard, have been instrumental in leading the team deep into the postseason. Scullawl is the team’s everyday pitcher, while both players have been performing well at the plate.

Bartlesville head coach Kyle Minton speaks highly of his senior leaders and is confident in their abilities. The Bruins have been on a roll in recent weeks, especially with impressive wins over Owasso in the Regional tournament to secure their spot at state. Minton emphasizes the importance of maintaining their current level of play as they head into the Final 8.

The game will kick off at 10:00 in the morning at OG&E Field at USA Hall of Fame Stadium. Choctaw, with a record of 25-3 on the season, will pose a tough challenge for Bartlesville. If they win, Bartlesville will advance to face the winner of Moore and Mustang at 1:00. However, if they lose, the Bruin’s season will come to an end. It’s a high-stakes game for Bartlesville as they look to continue their successful season and advance in the state tournament.

The pressure is high for Bartlesville as they face off against Choctaw in a crucial first-round matchup at state championships. The two teams are evenly matched with records of 24-3 each coming into this game.

Two key seniors on Bartlesville’s roster have played significant roles in bringing them this far: Allie Scullawl and Chelsea Goddard.

Scullawl has been Bartlesville’s go-to pitcher all year long, while both players have made solid contributions at bat as well.

Head coach Kyle Minton speaks highly of his senior leaders and believes that they are capable of leading his team to victory.

Bartlesville has been playing exceptionally well lately, winning several key games including their regional championship match against Owasso which secured their spot at state.

Minton stresses that his team needs to maintain their focus and keep up with their excellent performance as they prepare for what promises to be one of their toughest challenges yet.

The game kicks off at 10:00 am local time at OG&E Field located inside USA Hall of Fame Stadium where Choctaw awaits them with a record of 25 wins out of 28 games this season.

If Bartlesville emerges victorious from this encounter, they will move on to face either Moore or Mustang later that day depending on who advances from round two. But if things don’t go according to plan, then it’ll be time for Bartles
