Augusta Health Welcomes New Vice President and Chief Legal Officer with Extensive Healthcare Experience
Augusta Health has appointed Timothy Norton as its new Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, succeeding Jean Veilleux who will retire in July after four years of service. Norton is a native of Virginia Beach and holds an LL.M. degree in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, in addition to his law degree from George Mason University and his experience in healthcare legal and regulatory affairs.
Before joining Augusta Health, Norton worked at Health First in Melbourne, Florida as the Vice President and Deputy Chief Legal Counsel. Prior to that, he was the Assistant General Counsel at WellSpan Health in York, Pennsylvania. Mannix, the President and CEO of Augusta Health, expressed her pleasure in welcoming Norton to the team, citing his extensive experience as an asset to the organization. She added that she was confident that he would contribute significantly to their mission to enhance the health and well-being of the community with his expertise in healthcare transactions and regulations.
Norton said he was excited to join Augusta Health and relocate with his family. He looked forward to contributing to the organization’s success by leveraging his background in healthcare legal and regulatory affairs to drive positive outcomes for patients and the community as a whole.
