The remarkable conference, the first of its kind in Israel, was initiated by Rabbi Yossi Arablich, the chairman and founder of an organization called “For Your Sake.” The gathering brought together senior executives from AI powerhouses like Google, Microsoft, Mobileye, and Check Point, as well as leading international scientists and heads of the health system to forge collaborations and harness the technological revolution of the 21st century for the goal of saving lives, extending life expectancy, and improving quality of life.
The conference received a blessing from State President Yitzhak (Boji) Herzog who had previously awarded Rabbi Yossi Arablich and the organization “For Your Sake” with the President’s Award for Volunteer. He emphasized on the connection between Israeli health system capabilities and commitment to innovation.
During the conference, professionals shared their insights on how artificial intelligence can aid in early disease detection, prediction of future health issues, and treatment plans. They also highlighted its importance in revolutionizing medical research and patient care. Despite these benefits, Prof. Zion Hagai, chairman of Israel Medical Association raised concerns about challenges faced by Israeli health system such as shortage of doctors in certain specializations and criticized Ministry of Health for not prioritizing efforts to increase number of doctors in Israel.
