Zrinjski Appoints New Leader without Consideration for Tomas

Mario Ivanković, 48, has been appointed as the new coach of Zrinjski after the dismissal of Krunoslav Rendulić. The sacking was due to Zrinjski’s 3-0 defeat against Velež in the Mostar derby, despite Rendulić’s success in leading the team to win the double crown last year and securing a historic placement in the group stage of the Conference League.

Ivanković is a seasoned coach with significant experience working with first teams. He spent almost six years with the same team and has also led the U17 team and U19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently, he is part of the professional staff of the A national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zrinjski has stated that Ivanković will be supported by coaches from the previous coaching staff until further notice. It remains uncertain how long Ivanković will remain at Zrinjski’s helm.
