
Zagreb Woman Falls Victim to Convincing Fraudster, Loses Thousands of Euros
On Friday afternoon, a 76-year-old woman from Kuhačeva Street in the Maksimir district of Zagreb became the victim of a scam. An unknown woman posing as a bank employee called the woman multiple times, convincing her to go to the bank and withdraw a significant amount of money. The imposter then instructed the woman to leave the money on the sidewalk, resulting in the fraudulent scheme leading to a loss of several thousand euros for the unsuspecting victim. The Zagreb police are currently conducting a criminal investigation into the matter in an effort to bring those responsible to justice.
