World’s Biggest Fish Fry Returns to Paris, Tennessee with Over 12 Thousand Pounds of Catfish and Hundreds of Volunteers

The annual World’s Biggest Fish Fry returned to Paris, Tennessee on April 20th, with the Fish Tent opening its doors on April 24th. This community-wide event attracts thousands of visitors from all over West Tennessee and is a premier attraction of the occasion. For a 20-dollar entry fee, attendees can enjoy a plate of catfish, fries, coleslaw, beans, hush puppies and more.

The Fish Tent is the main attraction of the event and requires a significant amount of food to cater to the crowds. Event Organizer Josh ‘Smokey’ Taylor explained that they have 12 thousand pounds of fish, 3 to 4 thousand pounds of fries and handmade hush puppies made with a considerable amount of flour. With this amount of food available, they can feed approximately 320 people every hour.

Taylor reassured visitors that as long as they have fish available and people are in line, they will continue serving. The event will run until Saturday, April 27th, with operating hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. On Friday morning at 10 am there will be a large ‘Fish Fry Parade.’ For those interested in joining in on the fun there is still time to get involved in this exciting event.
